Analog MEMS Microphone
Analog MEMS Microphone
The analog MEMS microphone (SPM0404HD5-PB) is ideal for picking up audio signals that are loud or close to the port of the microphone (these are common in smartphones). The MEMS mic has a nearly flat frequency response from 100Hz - 10kHz, within 4dB, making it ideal for recording human voices at close range. The MEMS mic can also be used to record ambient sounds and an array of these SPM0404HD5-PB microphones can be used for sound localization by wiring to multiple analog pins on an Arduino board.

NOTE: This sensor is quite sensitive to noisy power supplies. Thus, it is recommended that when setting up a recording system — the user must ensure a quiet power supply is being used. Otherwise, there will be pops and crackles in the signal.
